New AP Grade 12 Art Course
Next year we are proud to be the only school to offer AP Grade 12 Drawing Portfolio. The AP Studio Art portfolios are designed for students who are seriously interested in the practical experience of art. AP Studio Art is not based on a written exam; instead, students submit portfolios for evaluation at the end of the school year
The Drawing Portfolio is intended to address a very broad interpretation of drawing issues and media.
Students taking the grade 12 Visual Art and AP course will be expected to do the same portfolio course as other grade 12 art students but have the added benefit of year round mentorship and develop a strong drawing portfolio that can be submited for assessment and a possible Advanced Placement in University.
We are accepting all applicants from anywhere in Simcoe County.

Featured Student Artist,
This art was designed to be displayed at the Wye Marsh. We were asked to create art that would inform the viewers about the benefits of using a clothes line.
The chosen student was very interested in environmental art. This student's portfolio was filled with art that compelled the viewers to think about the environment and our responsibilities to it. As you can see, her art was often inspired by the bright colours and simplification of Aboriginal art.
This artist was accepted into the prestigious art school OCAD and is doing very well. Before this student left, this student created a large art piece that hangs in the library for future generations to enjoy.
This is why this student is the featured artists.
